  • Do not intentionally damage or modify cylinders.
  • Use appropriate LPG equipment.

Regulator Safety

  • Use a regulator designed for LPG.
  • Make sure connections are secure.
  • Replace damaged or faulty regulators.

Hose Safety

  • Inspect LPG hoses regularly.
  • Do not use cracked or damaged hoses.

Do

  • Keep the cylinder upright on a flat, stable surface
  • Place the cylinder away from the heat of the stove
  • Light the match first, then open the burner knob
  • Close the cylinder valve when not in use
  • Check hoses and connections regularly
  • Keep children away from cylinders and valves

Don't

  • Store cylinders in closed cupboards or below ground level
  • Test for leaks using a flame
  • Lay a cylinder on its side while in use
  • Use damaged hoses, regulators or cylinders
  • Leave cooking unattended
  • Attempt to repair valves yourself
